Dental FAQs
Dr Anthony Zybutz of 77 Harley Street answers some frequently asked questions about dentistry
I would love to improve my smile but I’m not sure about the cost. Can I afford it?
Any service that is of high quality and provided by highly trained practitioners will cost a reasonable amount of money and this is equally true of dentistry. However, you should also consider the value-for-money and potentially life-changing benefits that cosmetic dentistry can deliver.
Sometimes it is useful to consider the treatment as a long term and very well worthwhile personal investment. There are also financing options that will help to spread the payments into easily managed installments – please ask our helpful team for more details and we’ll be pleased to assist.
My teeth look over-crowded and bunched up at the front of my mouth. Can you help?
We can use a variety of dental techniques including orthodontics, cosmetic contouring, and/or veneering, to make significant improvements to your smile and to reduce the appearance of over-crowding.
I have a lot of traditional fillings, including gold and silver-amalgam that show on my lower back teeth.
We provide the latest cosmetic tooth coloured filling and composite resin bonding techniques to make near invisible repairs to teeth.
Is there anything you can do to address the large and obvious gap I have between my two front teeth?
The simple and short answer is Yes! We can use dental Veneers to help close these gaps which are technically known as diastema. Sometimes a technique called cosmetic bonding can be used but more complex cases could well require the use of porcelain veneers. Whichever technique our cosmetic dentist chooses to use, you can be sure that you will leave us with a significantly improved smile!
I have really badly stained and discoloured teeth – can you help me with whitening?
We offer the latest teeth whitening options including accelerated whitening using special lighting systems to complement the bleaching process. Although results can vary slightly, most people see an improvement of several shades in their tooth colour. Teeth whitening is one of the most accessible and affordable ways to a great new smile.
